Who we are
Nestled in the heart of Nepal, Pokhara Research Centre is located in the Kaski district of Gandaki Province in the city of Pokhara. PRC’s vision aims to strengthen individual liberty and enhance economic equity through a well-informed electorate. Aged 7, PRC (established in 2017, registered in 2019) has successfully planned, directed, and executed 24 projects with six international organisations: the United States Embassy in Kathmandu, ATLAS Network, Centre for International Private Enterprise, National Endowment for Democracy, National Democratic Institute, and The Asia Foundation in the subnational arena. With a current staff of 12 members, PRC advocates the cause of ‘Economic Freedom through Good Governance’.
Our Vision

PRC envisions a free society where individuals can access, question, and synthesise accurate, transparent, and evidence-based information. Guided by the principles of economic equity and fuelled by the engines of a free market, we strive to empower citizens to make better decisions.

Our Mission

Our mission is to encapsulate facts and perspectives on Major Public Policy issues facing the citizenry through independent research, dialogue, and engagement. PRC’s motto, ‘To create a well-informed electorate,’ draws inspiration from the Constitution of Nepal.
