The enactment of the Tourism Development Act 2020 by the Eighth Municipal Assembly of Pokhara Metropolitan City (PMC) presents an opportunity to leverage tourism as a catalyst for economic growth and sustainable development in Pokhara. However, in order to optimize the potential benefits and ensure inclusive and sustainable outcomes, it is imperative to address pertinent issues identified through a comprehensive study. This policy brief offers potential key recommendations grounded in global trends and best practices, aiming to enhance the effectiveness of the Tourism Development Act 2020 in facilitating sustainable tourism development in Pokhara.
